Research at the frontier of
Wellbeing, AI & Humans

WahStudio (Wellbeing + AI + Humanity) investigates how design and AI systems can support human wellbeing, combining emotion, behaviour, and intelligent technology in meaningful, responsible ways.

About Us

"Wah!" — a sound of wonder, realisation, and delight — is also our name. WAH! Studio (Wellbeing, AI, and Humanity) is a research studio where that spirit of discovery becomes a guiding principle.

We study how emotions shape creativity, learning, decision-making, and wellbeing and how intelligent technologies can respond to those human dynamics in responsible, meaningful ways.

PhD researchers in the studio design, prototype, and empirically evaluate emotion-aware systems — spanning affective computing, human-AI interaction, immersive environments (VR/AR), and computational modelling of creativity and wellbeing

THE WORD "WAH" ACROSS CULTURES
HINDI / URDU
वाह!  — واہ
The moment where emotion arrives before words. It is where feeling becomes expression.
JAPANESE
わあ — Waa
A spontaneous sound of surprise and delight — the moment before words form. Pure affect, unfiltered by language.
MUSHAIRA TRADITION
The collective call when a line of poetry lands — a shared recognition of beauty. Emotion made audible by a room.
"Wah Wah!"
Wah!
UNIVERSAL
A simple sound that captures wonder, appreciation, and the moment something truly resonates.

Equipments
in the Studio

We are building a studio where human experience meets intelligent technology.
Our equipment in the studio is not just about measurement—it is about understanding how people feel, think, and respond and how design and AI can meaningfully support them.

By combining physiological sensing, computational tools, and immersive systems, we create a space to explore the subtle relationship between emotion, behaviour, and technology.
