Wah Studio at IIT Delhi invites applications for fully funded full-time PhD positions at the intersection of design, Well-being, AI, and human behaviour. We don’t just want coders or designers — we want researchers who ask uncomfortable questions and care deeply about human experience.

Are full time PhD positions at Wah! Studio funded?
Yes. Most positions are supported through the IIT Delhi Institute Assistantship or specific research grants, providing a monthly stipend and contingency support for your research activities.
What does the typical workload and culture look like?
Our studio operates on a full-time, collaborative model. Students balance advanced coursework with active research, prototyping, and lab-wide discussions in a supportive and curious environment.
Is remote or part-time work possible?
Direct collaboration and access to our physical studio and equipment at IIT Delhi are essential. Residency on campus or nearby is expected for full participation.
How should I propose my PhD research topic?
Focus on themes like affective computing, human-AI interaction, or immersive systems for wellbeing. Ensure your proposal aligns with our studio's mission of integrating human experience with intelligent tech.
